■Notes
To those who need a certificate to apply for a visa abroad:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and its diplomatic establishments abroad currently do not accept certificates issued at convenience stores.
When you apply online, (1) Select “by mail” on the pickup method selection screen, and (2) Please enter “for overseas visa” in the remarks column.
The certificate will be printed on a special form and sent to you.
Please note that if you do not enter “for overseas visa” in the remarks colum, the form will be the same as the one issued at the convenience store. There will be no refunds for certificates issued at convenience stores. If a certificate was issued same as the one issued at the convenience store by mistake or due to an omission in the remarks field, no refund will be given.
In that case, you will be required to reapply for the certificate according to the above procedures, so please be aware of this.
You will be asked to complete the application and payment procedures online. You can receive certificates either by issuing at a convenience store (available at Seven-Eleven, Lawson and FamilyMart in Japan) or by postal mail.
*The certificates are issued printing in black‐and‐white including the official seal, but the university treats these as original certificates. The papers are processed so that the words “コピー禁⽌” appear when photocopied, and these words are slightly visible even when the papers are not photocopied, but this is not a defect.
*Certificates other than those listed above will be issued and send by mail.
*Please click here for the samples of each certificate.
